Sorry.. I kinda figure it wasn't you since it's so vauge. www.friendster.com is actually a really cool site for networking and meeting new friends. Unfortunatly people make up fake profiles for others which I am assuming is the case here. It really isn't chating, so nobody is really pretending to be you. Most the stuff thats posted is actually flatering of you, so I wouldn't be too offended. Friendster is based on the 7 degrees of separation theme where people are removed from knowing everyone else by only 7 people..

Up on Capitol Hill in Volunteer Park there is an old brick water tower that you can go up in. It's a hell of a climb up steep stairs but when you get to the top, you get a 360 degree view of the city and countryside including a view of Lake Washington looking east towards the Cascades. Enjoy.

tends to avoid any type of change that involves raising taxes. It's hilarious because the community wants every type of social service under the sun but doesn't want to pay for a thing. The people also tend to have a deeply insane distrust for government so any type of project suggested and ran by the government like mass transit gets shot down, which ultimately leads to nothing getting accomplished and problems getting worse and then the people like to turn around and blame compounded situations like heavy traffic on the very government they wont allow to solve problems.

Yeah you had mentioned the homeless problem. I wasn't expecting young homeless, that really surprised me. And I wasn't expecting to get panhandled on every single street corner. Really annoying. Surprised Seattle hasn't done mass transit yet...though even Portland, while a nice clean little system, isn't really mass transit as it doesn't really extend and hit all of the neighborhoods.

institutionalized elitism that seeks to morally control the masses, much of it highly wrapped up in religion. As i've been out speaking over the past couple of years, one thing i've been disgusted to come across is the presence of elitist attitudes from wealthy students at certain schools. Nothing disgusts me more.

but of course, I never miss a post from you. I hear what you're saying about elitism, but there's a fine line. And again, like I said, Republicans do try to keep some more traditional institutions or values in gov't. some of which I agree, and some of which I don't. Elitism exists on both sides of the aisle in gov't, and I'd be interested to hear your definition of "elitism" as opposed to just a wealthy business owner, for example.

there's hate for elitism in this country and for a very good reason. Americans didn't leave Europe for the hell of it and we don't want to see old European elititism popping up here either. That's what people hate! And again, if Republicans believe so highly in hands off government, then why are they so busy creating laws such as the "protection of marriage" laws? How is that hands off? Again, it's hands off when it comes to business and money and hands on when it comes to elitist moral control.

Danny, man..a lot of anger it sounds like. Listen, I don't think that Dean is any more worldly necessarily than Bush..and your "oil cowboy from Texas" line really brings out some hatred, it sounds like. Is there something wrong with making money off oil? is there something wrong with having a ranch? And the Republican attitude IS limited government. They do try to keep intact more traditional beliefs, which some of that I'm for, some I'm against..and if you want to talk about money, the democrats have just as much. I just love how the fact that repulbicans believe that the wealthy in this country shouldn't get ripped on taxes makes the republicans evil..there is just so much hatred towards the wealthy in this country, and I for one am sick of it. Last time I checked, a poor guy didn't hire me, a poor guy didn't build that new apartment building on second that helps revitalize that part of the city..envy is an ugly thing.

I have faith that he will...

I think he's more worldly and has a more sophisticated world view than an oil cowboy from Texas. I also believe in the government working for average Americans instead of Republican attitude that pretends to believe in limited government, yet turns right around and interferes with the social rights of every American. too much hypocricy. Yeah, when it comes to their bougoie money, it's all hands off, but when it comes to moral control, it's all hands on! explain that to me.

we're working towards one world though we're far from it but it doesn't help when we snub our very supporters with obnoxious American attitude. Number two, it's very naive to believ that we'll destory all the evil in the world, especially when we're looking in the wrong places. when will naive Americans understand that you can't go out and kill all the bad guys? The more we continue what we're doing now, the more the hive will grow and the angry bees will sweep down on us. Jason, i'll agree that Clinton didn't handle this situation well but that doesn't mean either that the opposite, which Bush is trying to carry out, works either. I don't think anyone has addressed this problem correctly yet.

We have never and will never be one world, and the sooner people realize that, the better off we'll be. There IS good and evil, (this is coming from an atheist) murdering thousands of your people with gas is evil, having your minions fly planes into packed office buildings is evil, how is this so difficult for people? Bush is not Clinton..Clinton was all politics, all talk. Bush is direct action. Some may feel it's the wrong action because it doesn't jibe with what they believe, but tough, the man was elected (don't start anything on the 2000 election) to do a job, and he'll do it as he sees fit as leader of the free world and commander in chief, I trust his judgement, and his leadership, as do millions of Americans.

The other night I was leaving a restaurant in town that's nice and as I got to the door (glass) this chick comes running up in front of us, cops a squat and takes a piss all over the front stoop. we all just stood there in amazement and shock and watched her pee. She finished and took off like nothing happened without even looking at us. Crack heads are fun!

This little girl sports once beautiful blond locks that are now a tangled mess. She is fixed firmly in a squatting position and comes dressed in a tattered black hoodie covered in patches with different slogans and band names on them. Shes also dressed in black jeans and black combat boots. Ave barbie comes with a fun assortment of real cosmetics in shades of umber to black that can be applied to her eyes and lips. She also comes complete with a tin can filled with tiny life-like coins. Ave Ken (sold seperately) is dressed similarly but comes in a supine position and appears to be unconcious.

We decided to do freemont barbie instead...it's a bit more...colorful!
Freemont Barbie: Sporting dreads smellin' of horse #### and any other type of feces she can get her hands on. You can find her in any moist grassy field where shrooms grow abundantly. Her skank, crusty feet fashion the most recent edition of Birkenstocks, along with any tye-dyed skort. Her favorite outfit is one that shows off her "natural" legs. Freemont Barbie even grows REAL hair from her pits! Ken is usually seen staring at the walls in a trance-like state.

I hear you. Most people never really learn what seattle is. They come here. complain about the rain, but never really explore the city or the country around it. Most have never gone around the cascade loop, never gone around the
Olympics loop {Olympic Peninsula}, never spend time at Mount Rainier park, Never bought apples in Yakima, seen the miles and miles of wheat fields on the east side, gone Rock hounding on the North side of I-90 on the Columbia, never spend a day looking at the hexagonal lava column on the east side, Never watch the moon play with the cloud so the light beams look like a giant light house over Issaquah, Never tasted Backdiamond bread, Never spent a day on the Hyway that goes east of Concrete were there a bridge that a water fall flows through -talk about rain - never sat and watch the moss grow in the Olympic Peninsula National Park- Never hiked in the park at lake Cushman. Never spend a day watching the miss roll over Lake Crestent (sp?). Never had a rutting Elk explain why you should not be on the ground when he's looking for his mate, never had him wake you up in the middle of the night with his bugle next to your cabin. Never had a deer supprised by waling up to you. Never had a mother wolf show off her cubs to you. Never spent a day looking from washington state to Mount Shasta on a clear day in the Yakima Indian Reservation. met a {my} first Snowy Owl- wing span of over 6 feet. Learn to talk blue heron, goose {that's another subject}, call mallards to eat. Come nose to nose with a golden porcupine- sticky situation. Never spent a day at friday harbor, or a tide pool with little fish that you could scoop up in your hand. Never played tag with a octopus, learn why red octopus are not very friendly. Never swam on June 1st at Lake Chelan - or anyday after July 1 when it 100 deg F and the water is still 38 deg F.
I guess these are the places I met God, that's why I like sharing them.
