Ok buddy...stop calling yourself names. I really hate self-deprecation. Deep down, you're a good guy and you need to stop bashing yourself. I told you not to take it personal so no need to appologize. All I ask is that you don't offer advice unless I ask for it. That'll make things much more simple.
And EVERYBODY needs to chill out on the board.
I'm sorry I caused such a ruccus earlier.
    Mike2, you're still welcome here.

I hear it's the prozac capital of the nation. It's the only city where i've seen suicide hotline advertisements posted on billboards all over the place.
I've got to go guys. Have a good one. I will...after all this talk of gloom in Seattle, I have to say that it's beautiful today.

I was told that many years ago(probably before you were born)that things in the large aircraft industry were so bad that a billboard was put up there saying WILL THE LAST PERSON OUT OF SEATTLE PLEASE TURN OUT THE LIGHTS. Hopefully it won't get that bad again.

    Jason,
you really need to try the winter weather. The summer will give you know idea of how bad the weather can get here. Imagine 30 straight days of grey skys and rain and mix that with gloomy people. completely depressing. However, it is a beautiful place and the summer is really nice.
    I miss the east coast.

well, it depends on what you're into and what you're looking for. The economy here is horrible right now. There are few good jobs. Dot-Com bust.
The cost of living is very high, though rent prices have fallen a little bit. It's beautiful out here. We came here mainly for the outdoors (the mtns, rivers, etc). I would suggest that you check it out first because it's not for everyone. This place has without a doubt some of the worst weather in the world and the people can be extremely moody in the winter. If gloomy weather gets to you, then don't come!

What makes you interested in Seattle?

    Terry,
I don't remember the name of that lame website. The prize was a joke and we still haven't received anything.

The festival you're talking about is down on pier 60 I believe. I only live by peir 70. It doesn't rain as much in the summer here. Plus, people here are used to rain and it doesn't bother them that much.

-I'm a fan of Diana Ross(house diva)she will be performing at an open air arena in Seattle this summer...there is no roof over this arena at all...its called "summer nights at the pier" i dunno if uve heard of it but....with all the rain in seattle wouldn't it make sense to have some form of roof over the venue??
I know that has nothing to do with u...its just an observation.

Basically, they assumed my stance on "don't ask, don't tell" without asking me first. They wanted me to be their advocate poster child to the media, even though I made it clear that wasn't my bag of issues. Finally, it all boiled down to me not wanting to play that role and they didn't want me there because I couldn't give them what they wanted. All of this comes even after they read my article in New York Magazine. Hello? Anybody there?
