Hey guys...morning. just a quick post to let you know that the site will be down for a few days anytime now. We're changing servers. You'll still be able to get to the message board, but you'll have to enter the URL, instead of linking from the site. The site will be back up soon, then we're going to be doing some more updates asap, including my fall speaking schedule. I'll also be posting a new auction, with proceeds going to the scholarship fund. The auction will be two Madonna tickets donated by Jeff. Be looking for that. I'd love to stay and talk, but i've got a flight to catch. I'll be out of town for a week and a half. Take care.

Hey there Kellner...well, i've read your posts and the age thing is really irrellavent. I've met plenty of people your age who people my age are far beyond...as far as me enjoying the limelight, enough of your claims. You talk about what you SEE but what you DON'T see is what I've turned down and passed along. Maybe if you knew the full picture, you wouldn't be making these claims. What i've let you guys see of myself both during and post Real world is such a tiny part of who I am. My post show appearances have been, for the most part, a great way to clear up misunderstandings and to set the story straight and God knows there have been plenty of misconceptions. Hope this finally clears this subject up once and for all.

as far as that question goes earlier about the dad...well, if a person has their mind set on an issue, especially if they're older...that opinion isn't going to change. Let him believe what he wants and you go on with your beliefs. My motto is "never force beliefs down people's throats." that only works against you. That's why this gay agenda just doesn't work. The more people try to push the issue, the more the conservative side runs. Let them peek in and take a look. If they like the party, they'll join. If not, let them stay behind the gate at their community.

in order for me to speak at a school, i must be invited and the trip must be funded by a school's student activity board. It's all through an agent. projecting is a #####. I think that's good point...i think alot of people project their feelings if they were in that situation. But maybe now you feel you'd love the attention, but after the media and public came after you, you'd be running and then you'd understand. I really wish that people would just let the whole fame thing go. It's something that can only be understood by going through it. It's a weird situation that really causes psychological problems amongst cast members. Yes, there are those who enjoy it, but there are just as many who don't. Food for thought, have you guys considered that maybe we do certain gigs for cash rather than attention? We DO have bills to pay.

Thanks for filling me in Kevin...since i missed last night's convo, i can't really defend myself here. That's part of my problem, I always feel the unecessary need to defend myself. I've never been able to accept when people don't understand my views or just me in general. That's why I feel i wasn't made for the spotlight. I take things too personal and i'm just too much of a personal person. That's not how hollywood works. Anyhow, Hope people understand me better and my point of view there.

Hey guys...swinging in again to check the board since i haven't had much free time lately to check on it. I'm not exactly sure what you guys were talking about last night, so I can't really respond, but in response to Kellner's post, what are you talking about? What do you mean "when MTV calls, I come running?" Actually, I've turned down most of what they've offered. So, to that comment, I think you're a little off. As far as my privacy goes, I've realized that I enjoy living my life on my own terms, outside of the constant scrutiny of strangers. I've simply found that life is more enjoyable that way. It's something i've really discovered through this TV journey. Hope you guys understand this, but maybe some of you still don't. Maybe it's just something you have to go through to really understand.

The Belfort house is right off St Charles Ave, easy to spot. It's really ugly now though...torn apart for remodeling. All the tour groups will take you by it as well as Anne Rice's house, which is in the same neighborhood. You have to go to Jacquimo's restaurant in uptown. It's the best food in town. We used to eat there all the time. Be aware that it's in a sketchy part of townt though. Locals will tell you how to find it.

Thanks for your kind words Sivart. Everyone is welcome to come with their opinions. The truth is that I shouldn't respond to negativity, but that #### gets to me sometimes. It's painfully obvious though that a person coming to attack me with false info is deeply insecure and feels threatened. It's actually hilarious that someone would visit a personal website to attack someone. If there's so much hate there, why waste the time. I just get tired of people wrongly attacking me about the entertainment thing. It was something that was offered to me, I gave it an honest shot, found that it wasn't for me and left it behind. that's it.

I said that many in the gay community were dissapointed that I played a straight character and not a gay one. The gay issue comes up alot because, simply, editing does that. They love to focus on one issue and cut the rest out. The most important issue for me that I talked about was my relationship with my family and how that's changed for the better since the show. Unfortunately, they edited that out and focused on the entertaiment bs.

I don't feel pressured to live up to an image but I do feel pressured to help as many people as possible. The only way i can make sense out of all of this is that God put me here to help people. I have that position now and i'd be foolish not to follow through. I'd be letting a higher power down. But as far as an image, what image do I represent? I really don't think i'm the main reason people come to this site. I think the majority of guys come here because there are alot of guys hear they can connect with on some level that maybe can't be found in ones immediate environment. The majority of guys here are of a certain type and have certain common opinions and ideas. I think that's what really brings alot of people here. It's comforting to know that there are many other people out ther feeling the same was as you.

I'm constantly being asked for advice on this subject and the truth is, I can only say one thing. You should only do it when you're 100% secure and sure of yourself. Everybody's situation is different and we all come from different backgrounds. Unless i could sit down with you and talk for ours to get to know you. I can't give anymore advice than that. So many people think that there's an easy, across-the-board solution but that's just not the case.

saying that you're annoyed about some past cast members complaining about privacy is rediculous. If you only know what it's like to have your life invaded. It's almost like a form of rape. People go into this experience with no clue of what to expect and many don't go into it with intentions of fame or entertainment dreams. On the other hand, some really enjoy the attention. Do i get sick of being gay Danny from MTV? Man...has that racked me for a while now. It has been an emotional, psychological battle to accept this fact. But truth is, my mind has just recently been at peace because of the fact that i've finally accepted this simple, obvious fact. IT's something that'll never go away and i'll always just have to accept it and make the most positive I can out of it. It's a process that so many of us have been through and new cast members will alway go through. You just find yourself in this state of denial but the truth is simply that "I am MTV, gay Danny". IT's all overwhelming and foreign. Eventually though, the reality just sets in and you move on. I'm at peace now. I'm happy, satisfied with life. Peace of mind is a beautiful thing and I know that so many of you out there don't know it. The struggles you're all talking about...we've all been through them. Just remember when you feel like you can't take it anymore, Peace of mind is always in reach. It's the driving force in life...to make it through those struggles and let your mind find peace.

wow, those answer's surprised me. So far, the most wide spread concern amongst the predominate 18 to 22 range is the environment. I'd have to say that is my main concern due to the fact that it's such a pressing issue. We simply can't exist without our ecosystems and we're destroying them so quickly. To make matters worse, most people are completely ambivalent about the subject. IT's scary ####.

Hey... it's the student activity boards that invite and fund me coming to schools to speak. If you're not part of the board, then suggestions from students might evoke their interest. It depends on your school though. Some schools obviously are not interested in having a gay man speak. Just because you may be interested in me speaking, sometimes the majority is not. You can dream and wish but understand that they are just that. Things you think are compeletely out of reach, sometimes are. It's good to keep your standards high but your not going to have world peace either.

...was in Mexico and hated it. Preferred Tex-Mex, thought the stuff was bland and crappy and you really can't beat free chips and salsa.

I like all types of food, but never tried chorizo with green chili. When did this board turn spanish, I didn't press "1" after the dial tone?

Three kids and a boyfriend, at least you have kids. Who needs a boyfriend when you have so many little people to talk to. I can only wish.

The travelling thing is a definate, everyone deserves to escape from the hodrum lives we live. Get me away from the TV and the "computer" hint hint.

The mother took it terrible. Religion got in the way, but at least she's good at something. Only kidding about that. When I told her, we didn't speak for three months. I call it time to handle. She was the first to break and finally called. We talked almost twice a week (not a mommas boy, right?) after the fact once a month and about everything but the "issue". I love her and she does me. I just have to be patient.

My father on the other hand, just wants me to be happy. He doesn't know.

Levi, he read your post already but had to go without answering. Thanks for the thought of a gift for his birthday but really not necessary.

I hope I got them all.
